At TitanHQ (@TitanHQ), we are delighted to have been invited by Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Ambassador to Germany to take part in IrishTechXBerlin. Enterprise Ireland’s event on innovative technology and cybersecurity, took place in the Irish Embassy in Berlin on 29th June 2017 with over 150 companies in attendance (see photos below).
Eddie Monaghan , Alliance Manager with TitanHQ, presented on the topic of ‘Practical Protection for Business’. Mr Monaghan's presentation highlighted how DNS filtering will be a cornerstone of world cyber security into the future.
He discussed how threat vectors are constantly changing and how http is becoming increasingly vulnerable. He emphasized that ‘while an attack can and does happen at any layer, a growing number of attacks aimed at end users, happen via the http layer. Users spend a lot of time using HTTP and this is an attractive target for cybercriminals’. Monaghan went on to explain how, as part of the overall security approach it’s vital to secure HTTP traffic. He believes ‘ it will take a very significant step to mitigate the risk that your users are exposed to’. According to Monaghan ‘to do this organisations need to ensure they have DNS and content filtering in place’ .
As part of the presentation Mr Monaghan demonstrated how WebTitan Cloud DNS filtering works to add that important additional layer of security required by organisations battling phishing, ransomware, spam and malware.

This is something TitanHQ have championed for a long time’. The GCHQ will be working with all UK ISPs on implementing DNS filtering. Mr Monaghan concluded ‘DNS filtering truly is the future of web security’.
