As Webroot & Postini exit the email filtering market customers look for better alternatives

Google is shutting down Postini spam filtering. The business has about 26 million users and companys that use the service will have to migrate to another solution. Although Google are trying to make the transition seamless by encouraging customer to move to Google Apps for e-mail security, it is inevitable that existing Postini customers will have to make some big changes and source a Postini alternative.

Interestingly Webroot is also exiting the email filtering market which was a big shock to some of its partners and customers. Sources  suggest the vendor plans to stop supporting their email security products at the end of 2013.
