The WebTitan charity competition launched in September is now closed. We asked our blog readers to share with us why they would benefit from winning the WebTitan Cloud security solution for their charity organisation – it was that simple! You can view some of the selected competition entries at our blog.
We are delighted to announce that the top prize of a WebTitan Cloud web security license with valued at $8k goes to Touch Life Africa based in Uganda. Touch Life Africa is an NGO which serves to empower destitute families that have been torn apart with war, AIDS and poverty, empowering them to be independent.
As a charity with an active website Touch Life Africa are subject to the same threats as any other websites – cybercriminals don’t differentiate when it comes to targeting their victims. The internet is a powerful tool for charities for both publicity and accepting donations, it’s vital their website and organisation are safe with protection in place and that web usage in the organisation is responsible.
Our second prize of an iPad will be awarded to the Framework organisation based in New Zealand. Framework deliver community based mental health and intellectual disability services in Greater Auckland. Paramount among these services are vocational skills, supported employment, supported education and training. Operating since 1984, Framework’s mission is to “provide core and specialist services which support recovery and participatory citizenship for people.”
We are also offering some runner up prizes of $50 amazon vouchers going to organisations around the world including the YMCA in Australia. A big thank you to all who participated by commenting on our blog!
